Gratitude For Our Military

Regardless of our various views on politics, every American should be grateful for the service of our military men and women.  In Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other places in the world, people are giving the best of themselves in the service of freedom.

At AJU, we have several initiatives in the works to honor our military, in addition to our Center for Military Spouse Studies.  But you do not have to be a university to say 'Thank you.'  We recently came across a new website that is promoting a new way of expressing our gratitude.  The Gratitude Campaign (www.gratitudecampaign.org) presents the following video (seen below) to show you how sign language can be a simple, yet powerful gesture to show you acknowledge a soldier's sacrifice.

Every soldier needs our support in their lives.  Please use this gesture to show your respect next time you encounter one.
